Since 2016, the Burlington Youth Council has brought together our community’s bright and engaged young leaders. The Burlington Youth Council fosters discussion surrounding political processes, community involvement, and important issues facing Canada and the world. The Burlington Youth Council is an important part of our community, sharing their thoughts, concerns, and ideas, and acting as a voice for young Canadians.
The Burlington Youth Council is comprised of high school and post-secondary students, who come together every month and discuss important issues such as climate change, food security, immigration, Indigenous reconciliation, and anti-racism. Hearing from government speakers and community leaders, the Burlington Youth Council also shares their questions and ideas with changemakers.
