About the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship (IRCC)

The federal government is responsible for matters involving citizenship and immigration. The Ministry of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship (IRCC) processes refugee claims, work visas, and citizenship applications.

How can our office help you with IRCC matters?

We can help you by providing information about the status of requests that are before the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship.

While we cannot intervene in IRCC decisions or application review procedures, we are able to contact IRCC on your behalf to request additional information about the status of an application in process that may be delayed or to understand refusal reasons on a particular file.

You can also check the status of an application online; or by contacting an agent using this toll-free number: 1-888-242-2100.

If you would like our office’s assistance with an IRCC matter, please email us your request at [email protected], and include the specific program you would like assistance with, along with your postal code.
